Bagua Quan (Also known as Eight Trigrams Fist or Eight Trigrams Boxing) is a Daoist Chinese martial art that is based on the nature of change.
Originally being adopted in the Imperial Palace during the Qing Dynasty as exclusive training for high ranking guards, Bagua was not widely taught to the masses.
Training deals with combat/self-defense, how to maintain proper health, healing the body, and working to not only strengthen the outside of the body but also the inside organs, all within the same system of martial arts.
Beyond its effectiveness, the beauty of Bagua is in its movements and comprehensive learning of the nature of change brought about through studying the five elements as well as the trigrams. Movements and practices therefore reinforce regions of the body such as the Heart, Lungs, Liver, Kidneys, and others to reinvigorate the body's potential.
